The Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore (MABIMS) 17th Religious Forum (MABIMS) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia highlighted the theme of Human Rights on Tuesday (6/12). Related to that, MABIMS agreed to realize the resolution contains seven points on Human Rights in Islamic Perspective, as follows.
First, Muslims are expected to equip themselves with the right science and skills, through a reliable source to deal with new doctrines and challenges. It is to ensure that those rights are championed in keeping with the principle, and free from elements that are contrary to Islam.
Secondly, the need to empower the commitment of religious life as a way of life, to ensure that every Muslim individual is able to respond to the realities of life today that pivot the principles and guidelines of Islamic teachings.
Third, seek common ground on human values such as dignity and honor, freedom and freedom, equality and equality, and fraternity as the basis for opportunities to cooperate in dealing with human rights issues in line with Islam.
Fourth, disseminate the understanding of Islam as a system of values and ethics, which contribute to the common good.
Fifth, Strengthening the human rights struggle in line with the demands of Islam, based on a strategy of emphasizing the principles of Islam as an ethical system of human rights, improving public understanding of human rights related principles of Islamic ethics, and increasing the effectiveness of networks of inter-religious cooperation in each countries, organizations and individuals, to strengthen the struggle of human rights issues from an Islamic perspective.
Sixth, MABIMS is ready to establish collaboration of human rights explanation program from Islamic point of view through strategic cooperation among member countries.
Seventh, the forum agreed on the writing of the concept of human rights from the Islamic point of view that was unfurled in this conference can be published on behalf of MABIMS, as a source of information to researchers who can be used as reference at the level of MABIMS member countries, as well as international community.
