Salat al-Janazah law is fardhu kifayah, if some Muslims have done it, then fall from another.
From Abu Hurairah radhiyallahu 'anhu, he said, "The Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam never brought a dead man has a debt. Then he asked, 'Does the person have the surplus of property to pay the debt?' If it turns out he did not pay off and have the excess of the property and then the debt is repaid, then the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam salat the dead. But if it is not paid off, then he sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said to the Muslims,' Salat your friends. '(Narrated by Bukhari no 1251). This hadeeth indicates that Salat al-Janazah prayer law is fardhu kifayah because then the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam if it knows the dead did not pay the debt, then he reluctantly salat.
The virtue of the Salat al-Janazah
First: From Abu Hurayrah, he said that the Messenger of Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said:
"Whoever watches the corpse until he or she affirms it, then for him is a qiroth. Then anyone who watches the corpse until it is buried, then for him two qiroth. "Some ask," What are the two qiroth? "Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam then replied," Two qiroth are like two great mountains. "(Narrated by Bukhari No. 1325 and Muslim No. 945)
In the Muslim narrative mentioned,
"Whoever prays and does not accompany his corpse, then for him (reward) one qiroth. "Some of the qiroth?" "The smallest measure of the two qiroths is like the mountain of Uhud," he replied sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam. (HR Muslim 945)
Second: From Kuraib, he said,
"Son 'Abdullah bin' Abbas at Qudaid or in 'Usfan died. Ibn 'Abbas then said, "O Kuraib (former slave of Ibn' Abbas), see how many humans are sympathetic to his body." Kuraib said, "I came out, people were gathered and I preached to them Ibn 'Abbas's question. Then they answered, "There are 40 people". Kuraib said, "Well then." Ibn 'Abbas then said, "Take out the dead man. Because I heard the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "No Muslim died and then was dishaled (prayer corpse) by 40 people who did not shirk to Allah one bit but Allah will allow their prayers for him." (HR Muslim No. 948)
Third: From 'Aisha radhiyallahu' anha, he said from the Prophet shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam that he said,
"Not a dead person is preached (by prayer) by a group of Muslims who reach 100 people, then all give intercession (pray for good), then syafa'at (their prayers) will be permitted." (Muslim 947)
Fourth: From Malik ibn Hubairah, he said that the Messenger of Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said,
"It is not a Muslim who dies and is spoken of by three shafs of the Muslims but their prayers will be granted." (Narrated by Tirmidhi no 1028 and Abu Daud no 3166. Imam Nawawi states in Al Majmu '5/212 that this hadeeth is hasan. Shaykh Al-Albani declares this hadeeth hasan if a friend who says)
Those are some of the hadiths that show the virtues of the corpses.
